Cops arrested a hate-filled Brooklyn man they say pummeled a woman unconscious on a Q train after yelling anti-gay epithets at her and her girlfriend, officials said Wednesday.
Antoine Thomas, 27, got into an argument with the women over a seat on a Q train entering the DeKalb Ave. station at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, police sources said.
“F----t! D--e!” Thomas screamed at the two women as he purposely bumped into them while they sat on the train.
When the victims asked him to calm down, he jumped them, repeatedly hitting one woman until she was unconscious.
The 24-year-old victim was taken to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital with a concussion, a broken eye socket and several cuts requiring stitches, officials said.
Thomas fled the train but was arrested by a responding transit cop, officials said. He was charged with assault, menacing and harassment.
Thomas was released without bail after a brief arraignment proceeding in Brooklyn Criminal Court Sunday.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the attack, officials said.
Charges against Thomas could be upgraded to hate crimes, officials said.
