WASHINGTON – The United States Special Envoy for the Human Rights of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender) Persons, Randy Berry, is due in Jamaica on Thursday.
The US Department of States said Berry will visit the Caribbean island through Saturday.
The department also said United States Agency for International Department (USAID) Senior LGBT Coordinator Todd Larson is also visiting Jamaica to “discuss the human rights of LGBT persons and other marginalized groups.”
During the three-day visit, Berry and Larson will meet with Government representatives, in addition to representatives from religious, business, academic, and civil society organizations, the State Department said.
