What is a Teach-In?
The Summer Teach-In is a chance for youth to learn on how to plan, strategize, and ignite an activist movement on campus.
Sessions will include activities including, but not limited to:
• Meeting directly with former and current student movement leaders from the 1960s forward, who have led effective social change efforts.
• Using human trafficking as a case study, what are the aspects of modern day slavery where students may advocate for real change on their campuses and in their communities?
• Studying the five steps of social change and creating activities to advance them.
• Understanding how to build a campaign that creates demands with tangible results.
• Media messages?
• Planning your campaign, in collaboration with others, and creating a community where you may check-in to evaluate your efforts, and plan next steps.
